TUNEFUL CORPORATION RF offers two main types of Microwave Frequency Synthesizers: Fixed and Programmable. Both versions feature relatively low cost, rugged design for harsh environments, high resolution of frequency step. Basically the RF output is from 0.1 GHz to 6 GHz, but may be raised up to 12 or 24GHz by adding external multiplier. Internal or external reference is an option.

1) Any TUNEFUL CORPORATION RF Microwave Frequency Synthesizers partnumber starts from TFFS letters;

2) Next letter  - F or P - defines if the Synthesizer is Fixed or Programmable

3) Following 4 digits, e.g. 0.506, define frequency range in GHz: from 0.1 to 6 GHz (please contact us for higher frequency resolution and frequencies), dot sign is added in case the lower frequency range is not a integer. For fixed Synthesizer the pair of digits will be repeated, e.g. 0.10.1.

4) Next letters combination designates Internal or External reference type with operating temperature range after / sign: S - for standard (0 - 50 °C), E - for extended (-40 - + 85 °C), X - for ultra extended (-55ºC - +105ºC) range

ONLY FOR PROGRAMMABLE TYPE 5) Next letter combination defines the type of programming: UP - for USB programmable device, UPF - for USB programmable device with FLASH memory

6) Last digit in the partnumber stays for external multiplier: 2 for 2x and 4 for 4x

Basing on the above explanation TFFS-P-0.101-I/S-UPF will mean Programmable Frequency Synthesize for frequency range 0.1-1.0 GHz with Internal reference for standard temperature, which has flash memory onboard and may be programmed through USB.
